5 Tips for a Cleaner Home

There is no doubt that a clean home has a better feel about it. It is more welcoming, the energy is more relaxed, and it feels more comfortable to live in. For many of us dedicating time to cleaning every single day isn’t realistic. Our lives are busy enough as it is to have to factor in an extra session of daily cleaning.

When it comes to having a cleaner house there are a few basic home cleaning tasks that you can make sure to complete which will give a bigger overall impression of your house being clean rather than going through the motions of daily cleaning. Here are some of the best ways to keep your house clean.

Organize Your Closets

Opening your closets only to have a pile of things fall out into your face and spill onto your feet isn’t the right way to give your house a feeling of tidiness. You may think that out of sight out of mind is a solution but only short term.

By letting your closets get to totally out of control state it will only grow and grow and start to spill into the other parts of your house. It can be hard to find important things that you store, and if not properly taken care of your closet can become infested with pests. If you find pests consider it an immediate sign that you need to tackle the problem immediately. Getting rid of moths or other insects you find ensures that your things will last for longer and you aren’t putting yourself at risk of a bigger infestation.

Organize your closet by putting things in small boxes, and dedicating a place to each item.

Vacuum Daily

Running your vacuum every day can take as little as 5 minutes. It will keep the dust and dirt of your house consistently low and therefore less work than having to do a deep clean once a month.

Some people opt to stop wearing their shoes inside the house so that they track in less dirt.

Stay Consistent With Laundry

A huge pile of laundry is all too common of a scene in a house. All it takes is putting off folding it or washing it for a few days until the pile doubles in size. This is when more procrastination tends to creep in and before you know it you have no clothes left and a huge pile of clothes in the middle of your living room.

Try to do small loads every 2 days rather than huge loads every week.

Make Your Bed

Making your bed is a quick way to make your room look much tidier. By taking these small 3 minutes you can make a huge difference on the overall tidiness of your home.
