8 Things You Need for an Elegant Bedroom Design

Everybody wants a bit of luxury in their lives, and there’s no better way to get that than by sprucing up your master bedroom. Having an elegant bedroom design will help you to relax better, and you’ll love spending time in there. But what do you need to make sure you get the best results?

A Big Bed with Layers

If you’ve been in a luxury, elegant bedroom before, you will have noticed that the beds are always high and layered up. If you want to emulate a luxury bedroom, you need to make sure your bed is exactly like that. Make sure you pillows and blankets are all plush, and that you layer different textures and cushions to add to the effect. You’ll know you’ve got it right if the first thing you want to do is dive on it when you walk in!

A Feature Wall

An elegant bedroom doesn’t need to be boring; in fact, I recommend including a feature wall to enhance the room. You can do this a number of ways, from including different paintings, frames, and photographs to hanging a large work of art. It usually works best over the headboard in the bedroom. If you don’t have a headboard you can even create one using your feature wall elements!

Elegant bedrooms use all kinds of textures, from fluff to feathers. Don’t be afraid to mix them up and use them all over the room, as this will keep things interesting and add depth.

A Chandelier

What sort of elegant room would you have without a chandelier? Feiss chandeliers can give you an idea of what to look for. You don’t need to spend a fortune, and there’s bound to be a style to suit all tastes!

Flowers freshen up a room, and nothing screams elegance like a fresh bunch of blooms. It doesn’t matter where you get these from; they don’t need to be from the fanciest flower shop in town. You should be able to spot a beautiful bunch at any supermarket for a bargain price. Get ready to add new life to your bedroom!

All elegant bedrooms should have art, whether this is a small sculpture or a large picture hung on the wall. Pick something that truly uplifts you so you feel great when you look at it. You could even pick pictures out of your favorite book of art and just frame them – nobody will ever know!

Rich/Neutral Colors

Elegant rooms are usually decorated in rich colors like red and mauve, or neutral colors like beige and cream. There are exceptions of course, but this is the norm. Stick to about 3 colors to make sure everything works well together.

Hardwood Floors

Hardwood floors always look classier than carpet, and they last an age. You can use a rug if you like that look, and it’ll help to add texture like we discussed earlier too.

I hope you love your new elegant room – let me know in the comments!
